Love this video! I ordered enid‘s book to germany, it took over a month but it was totally worth it! Awesome book full of plant wisdom and fun anekdotes. And Enid is just the coolest! ❤️
My 2 favorite plant mentors in 1 video?!?! Jackpot!!! Ends book is awesome I can't recommend it enough. Combo of coffee table art work and plant medical jounal. Thank you for this video Summer!
2 plant gurus 2 green goddess definitely a must watch wonderful plants and lovely sharing - and drum rolls NOW everyone wants a anthurium selby sliver !!! philo tortum - interesting as I didnt really get them ... and they WERE so $$$ then prices drop and managed to get a small baby at cheap $$ easy to grow easy baby and now I am loving it! yes, the pink twist unfurling so magical n cute!
I have a green emerald colour Ficus Elastica you where talking about, I bought it about 7 years ago, I never see them anywhere for sale now, it was such a 'basic plant' when I got it, it's now one of my favourites!
I followed her on Facebook. From what I've seen on my feed, she's definitely animal lovers or nature lover in general. And she reposted some memes sometimes 😂
Ah, the disappearing old fashion houseplant! Spent years trying to find a plain green spider plant. No one had them! Finally started to see one here and there online.... but they called them "vintage" and "heirloom" and the prices were absurd. Waited a couple more years and found some old guy who sent me two pots FULL of them for app. $6.. I'm now a content old gal with my green spiders in their macrame hangers! LOL. And cast iron plants are back! YAY!
I've had an epiphyllum from 40+ years ago propagated many times fold and given away etc, and was recently told it is a species, not a hybrid (like many which are sold now). Never thought of it, but it's nice to own an original species. I like your apartment which has taken on a sparser (plant wise) decor, but reminiscent of old times.. Enjoyed Enid and your conversation.
Summer and Enid!!! My favorite planty people😍 🥰😘Loved every minute! Thanks for your always knowledgeable info. I love y’all’s passion! I have a very small plant shop called Gather2Grow featuring smaller rare house plants and I really appreciate all of your input for my upcoming year!! One of my favs is Monstera Peru with that yummy texture! Wishing y’all a very happy day from Florida!
I was looking for a Congo Rojo because I found a plant that was real dark leaves ( I have a picture of it) and they said that that's what it was. So I looked on eBay and saw a philodendron pink Congo from Indonesia- I mean wow!
I'D LIKE TO SEE YOU AND DOMINICK FROM "RED LEAF EXOTICS" WITH THE 🌿 VARIGATED PHILODENDRON SPIRITUS SANCTI🌿. and talk about how did he make it, on and how it is going on right now, coz I mean that would be a great great video. I hope you'll be able to reach out to him. Thank you very much!
100% I love birds nest anthuriums but they become big boys that have that round spread and take up a lot of sq ft so I haven't pulled the trigger yet. I'm gonna buy a dioon edule for cheap tortum vibes wish me luck guys. Are you thinking Hoya Macrophylla? I have an all green one someone have it to me as a trade bonus but they said it was the pot of gold kind which it wasn't.
@@summerrayneoakes I’m glad it came to you!! Thank you for being a safe place in a chaotic world, Summer. Your videos are healing and helpful and so enjoyable.
@@summerrayneoakes Oh believe me I could not care less about rare(majority of them are absurd to keep as houseplants). Aside from the first she showed the rest are just really underwhelming run of the mill foliage plants. Nothing against the nice lady. I loved your interview with stevesleaves. Now those are actual houseplants and interesting. This rare houseplant fad is getting old. Actual plants that do good as houseplants need more attention. Million cool cultivars and very easy to propagate and share with friends making them cheap or free. If such plants were hyped instead we'd be seeing way more people hybridizing these real houseplants that do well in houses.

He own RUclips channel, and the last i saw his videos is literally about how he successfully pollinated his spiritus sancti and got few variegated SS seedlings from it. I'm pretty sure he made an update videos as well.
Enid's the high priestess of exotic plants. You know its a legit plant talk when she has entered the chat

What a treat Summer and Enid, thank you!
I wish Enid had a youtube channel she is so cool and fun to listen to
I think she does I could swear I've seen several videos of hers. Maybe you were being sarcastic lol.
@@icemancometh8679 No I wasn't being sarcastic. I have only seen her once before on summer's channel

Always interesting to hear from Enid. She's a legend. Tortum is such a cool dude. That leaf unfurling is alien.
paused this video to order the book hahaha
you two Summer Rayne & Enid are awesome source of knowledge & tips💖
I too must go look up that book now!
Thanks for this video, Summer! Very enjoyable talk. The new book sounds intriguing.
Great to see you again, you have such a pretty smile :)

I want to move to Florida just to grow plants like Enid.
Bought several plants from NSE. Great shipping and plants.

Beautiful plants I have the green piper nigra it’s new leaves are so shine my blooms but needs longer warm to make the berries, thanks for sharing!!!
Thank you so much for making this video today. I laughed, I learned and I added to my houseplant wish list. I'm on my way to get that book now 💚😎💚
Bought my first rare plants gloriosom from NSE tropicals
Really enjoyed this!
Thanks
Just ordered Enid book

Pink Congo is fake. They use chemicals and it’ll go away. Don’t fall for it.
@@flowergirllove21 wow, I never thought to think about that, even though if you see a blue orchid in the store you know they used blue dye
I paid $100 for a medium size gloriosum from a local seller about 6 months ago
Third! I need that book!
I think she’s talking about Hoya macrophylla albo marginata I can never find the just Hoya Macrophylla
4th...
Greetings from Indonesia.

😅 I have definitely had a Jose Buono revert, but I suspect it had more to do with poor conditions than a true "reverted" plant.

Are you thinking Hoya Macrophylla? I have an all green one someone have it to me as a trade bonus but they said it was the pot of gold kind which it wasn't.
Thinking the same, either she think of H. macrophylla or H. crimson Queen.
@@chaotatca2003 crimson queen isn't only on the margins though, she said the one was variegated around the edges of the leaf ☺️
Yes, i was totally thinking of H. macrophylla. I saw the green version once and never again!
@@summerrayneoakes yeah it does seem to be harder to find than the variegated one I agree ☺️
Isn't dion edule a slow grower?

Summer, were you thinking of the green Carnosa?
No, it was the H. macrophylla 'Variegata' .... On the tip of my tongue. So hard to find an all-green one

Again, every plant I've bought from Enid has been healthy and robust...
Hello
First
The only reason I would get vaccined is to be able to cross the border and buy from those nurseries in Florida!
Well Florida doesn't care about vaccines do you mean your home won't let you?
How nice of you to don’t give a fuck about other people’s lives and their health...
@@mutantmonkey2301 . The vaccine doesn't prevent the spread of covid.
Pretty underwhelming houseplants to note far less being "top" picks.
She really wanted to highlight ones that folks can actually get commercially vs. "rare" one that people would have a had time getting their hands on.
